About BASIC Soap and Candles
Hey y'all,
I am southern born just one generation off of the farm. I grew up in a small South Georgia town that had a Piggly Wiggly and a Dairy Queen...and that's about it! I wouldn't change a thing, though. I really appreciate the small town childhood that I had.
I grew up hearing my family members tell stories about how they grew up: picking cotton, working tobacco, drawing water from the well, and such. Among other things, my grandmother made the soap for her family of 10 children and one husband out of pig fat and wood ashes. I started making soap to feel a little nostalgia and to have some unique holiday gifts one year. I ended up turning it into a business that I really enjoy.
Rest assured, there is no lard in MY soaps...and they smell a whole lot better, too.
